The Executive Governor of Kano State Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf have commended the state ministry of health and all the agencies under it for the prompt action so far.

Governor Abba made the commendation when he recieved the delegation lead by the Honourable commissioner state ministry of health Dr Abubakar Labaran yusuf and the heads of agencies who paid a sallah homage on him at the government house on Saturday.

He said the way and manner in which the heads have displayed their attitude towards reviving the health sector have really changed the narrative urging that they should do more so as to achieve the government’s goals.

“I want to see the health sector free from misconduct, negligence of duty and timely delivery of qualitative service. We took an oath when we came into office, and we need to fulfill that promise we need. I would make sure any request from the health sector is been treated with immediate effect” he said.

The heads of agencies promised to work without sentiment. “We would flush out all the bad eggs from the system. We want a system where by a patient will receive services without having to call anyone for help. We want politician and well to do individuals to allow us work freely without interference”.

They further promised to give adequate and qualitative training especially to midwives and biomedical engineers in compliance with the professional standard. They then called on all medical practitioners to avoid any form delinquency. “We call on all Zonal/chief medical directors to wake up as we are going to intensify our executive supervision”.
